 Watercolor – Snowglobe Snowman: A Lesson in Chemistry 

 In this lesson we learn about chemistry while we learn to paint! Salt is a desiccant so it absorbs the water. At the same time is also pushes away the pigment to create beautiful snowflakes in the painting!  We also discuss positive and negative spaces, colors, tools, materials, positioning (top/bottom, up/down), size, shapes, elements of design, canvas preparation, letters and names. Older participants can use their imagination to create elements that express feelings they want to portray through their artwork.
